When visiting the gorgeous State of Wisconsin in the United States one cannot miss Marquette University Law School. If one encounters a Milwaukee attorney, one may suspect that he or she has graduated from the university. Marquette University Law School is portion of the larger parent university called Marquette University, a private university with co-education and deep Roman Catholic roots. Marquette University Law School has a long history. The universitie’s first dean was the court judge, James Jenkins. He worked in the United States Court of Appeal for many years. The University’s first publication under the name of, “Marquette Law Review” was developed in 1916. In 1924, the campus of the law institution was shifted to Sensenbrenner Hall, which exists till date. The institution was privileged to be an associate of Association of American Law Schools by 1912. In 1925, Marquette University was given approval by the American Bar Association. Under Dean Robert Boden, the law institution had become a modern institution.

The degrees and curriculum which are offered by the Academy gives the students the advantage of joining the bar association straight without the need to go through the bar exam criteria. This is due to the Law school’s flawless reputation. Foreign educated attorneys could go to Marquette University to get two degrees in sports law. One of them is known to be “Juris Doctor” and the other one is recognized as “Master of Laws”. There are other interesting degrees offered by the university besides law. For instance, one could receive M.B.A. in sports business sciences. He may be awarded an M.A. in the science of bioethics also.

There is a multitude of activities and clubs offered to students to participate in. Associations and unions such as The Student Bar Association, a body mediating the interaction between students and the teaching faculty, The Federalist Society, or the Black Law Students association. With these activities, students are able to properly manage study and play while learning all the while. Tuition fees for Law courses nears 32,410 dollars. Besides, 30% of students can obtain scholarships based on merit. Law students passing out from Marquette University obtain a well known repute and are employed within 9 months with 73,630 dollars as their starting income.

Marquette University Law School is a part of a Jesuit university. Jesuit Universities, at all times, remains devoted to uphold a principle they call Jesuit Principle. This principle is commonly known as Cura Personalis. The Cura personalis stands for “care of the entire person” therefore, the institution maintains that it has a responsibility to encourage variety and its students to become elements for heralding positive changes in the society we reside in. With academic activities, a competent teaching faculty and a library for inquiries, the institution has become a hub for investigating the events of law and politics in the state of Wisconsin.
